Eau de Lezay"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Syndicat d&#8217;Eau de Lezay<\/strong>, a French municipality located in the western department of Deux-S\u00e8vres, decided to <strong>renovate its drinking water network<\/strong> by laying <strong>more than 2000m of FITT Bluforce PVC-A (PVC-HI)* pipes<\/strong> along the RD950 between the towns of Chey and Chenay, replacing the previous PVC-U pipes, dating back to the 1970s, and cast iron pipes, laid in the 1950s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this project, <strong>2400 m of FITT Bluforce DN 160 PN 16 PVC-A (PVC-HI)<\/strong>*<strong> pipes<\/strong> were installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposal, made by FITT with the collaboration of the Soval company, was validated by the Syndicat d&#8217;Eau de Lezay and the engineering consultancy BRG Ing\u00e9nierie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This choice was also judged positively by the Lauri\u00e8re TP\/TT Group&#8217;s installation companies, who particularly appreciated the <strong>ease of installation<\/strong> of FITT Bluforce pipes, their <strong>advanced joining system<\/strong> and the <strong>perfect compatibility with the couplings<\/strong> available on the market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the many <strong>advantages<\/strong> offered by <strong>FITT Bluforce PVC-A (PVC-HI)*<\/strong> pipes, some features proved decisive in the choice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>innovativeness of the material<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>durability<\/strong> of PVC-A (PVC-HI)* and its <strong>strength<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>easy handling<\/strong> of the pipes even in narrow areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Durability as a sustainable choice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>ductility<\/strong> that characterises PVC-A (PVC-HI)* is the main guarantee of the material&#8217;s <strong>durability<\/strong>, as it gives the pipes high <strong>resistance to crack propagation<\/strong>, <strong>impact<\/strong> and <strong>point loads<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ductility, in the sense of high resistance to crack propagation, translates into a total <strong>absence of brittle fracture<\/strong>, thus increasing the pipe&#8217;s <strong>strength<\/strong> and <strong>longevity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a <strong>circular economy<\/strong> perspective, choosing a material, such as <strong>PVC-A (PVC-HI)<\/strong>*, capable of <strong>increasing the product&#8217;s lifecycle<\/strong> means <strong>rewarding<\/strong> <strong>sustainability<\/strong>: a pipe that lasts over time, maintaining its functionality unaltered, is an intrinsically sustainable solution that, by delaying its end-of-life as much as possible, avoids the impacts of its possible replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside the <strong>EPD\u00ae<\/strong>, the <strong>Environmental Product Declaration<\/strong> for which FITT Bluforce and FITT Bluforce RJ boast the primacy in Europe, is contained a <strong>quantification of the product&#8217;s impact throughout its entire life cycle<\/strong>, from the extraction of raw materials to the disposal phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Easy installation with the Power Lock<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> gasket<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FITT Bluforce pipes feature the <strong>Power Lock<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> gasket<\/strong>, a jointing system in which <strong>the gasket is mechanically pre-inserted<\/strong> while the socket is being formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By preventing accidental displacement of the gasket, this system greatly <strong>facilitates installation<\/strong> and guarantees an <strong>optimal hydraulic seal<\/strong> over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FITT Bluforce: the ideal solution for aqueducts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to their <strong>high inertia to chemical and electrical corrosion<\/strong>, PVC-A (PVC-HI)* pipes do not require any cathodic protection or special coatings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By virtue of their <strong>excellent resistance to chlorine dioxide<\/strong>, which is used to purify water, FITT Bluforce pipes are also an <strong>ideal material for aqueducts<\/strong> thanks to their <strong>total wall impermeability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>(*) At a regulatory level it is defined as a polymeric alloy of Poly Vinyl Chloride with high impact resistance PVC-HI (such as PVC-M, PVC-A, PVC-CPE). PVC-HI (PVC-M, PVC-A, PVC-CPE) is a thermoplastic material that contains PVC resin with the addition of an impact modifier (PVC-High Impact). Depending on the type of impact modifier, the acronym HI can be replaced with various designations (PVC-A, Acrylic or PVC-A Alloy (polymer alloy); PVC-CPE, Chlorinated Polyethylene; PVC-M, Modified).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure
