On November 5th, the first Masterclass on \u201cSustainability of materials and low environmental impact technologies for the management of water networks\u201d<\/em> took place at the headquarters of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Trento<\/strong>, with the unconditional contribution of FITT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The initiative, accredited as a training seminar granting 4 professional development credits (CFP) for engineers, represented an important opportunity for dialogue between universities, industry, and professionals in the water sector.<\/p>\n

Throughout the afternoon, a series of presentations explored the key themes of sustainability applied to water networks: from FITT Group\u2019s 2030 Sustainability strategy<\/strong> to the PVC-A (PVC-HI) polymer alloy<\/strong>, and low-impact installation technologies<\/strong> such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers were Andrea Dorigato<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento<\/strong>, who presented the characteristics and performance of materials used in pressurized networks<\/strong>, and Mauro Fiorenzato<\/strong>, LCA Project Leader at Spin Life srl<\/strong>, a spin-off of the University of Padua<\/strong>, who delved into the scientific approach to sustainability, illustrating EPD certification<\/strong>, ISO standards for environmental sustainability<\/strong>, and the LCA methodology<\/strong> as an objective assessment tool.<\/p>\n

The Masterclass also explored the new FITT Sewer ICE<\/strong> solution for sewage applications, compliant with UNI EN 1401<\/strong> and UNI EN ISO 1452<\/strong> standards, as well as the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM)<\/strong>, with a specific focus on CAM Roads<\/strong> and CAM Buildings<\/strong>, to which the FITT Sewer<\/strong> and FITT Sewer EVO<\/strong> systems conform.<\/p>\n

The event reaffirmed the importance of fostering dialogue between academia and industry to promote sustainable and efficient technical solutions<\/strong>, aligned with the principles of the circular economy<\/strong>, and contributing to the creation of more resilient and environmentally friendly water networks<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
