24 May FITT presents the new FITT Infrastructure Solutions at IFAT: the entire infrastructure range in a single brochure
The 2024 edition of IFAT, the international event that focuses on water and wastewater management, as well as waste and raw materials, has just ended.
Here FITT presented “FITT Infrastructure Solutions“, the entire range of FITT’s Infrastructure world, which can be found enclosed in a single brochure.
It illustrates products dedicated to the drinking water transport sector, the sewage sector and, finally, the transport of pressurised fluids.
Transport of drinking water
FITT Bluforce is a pipe for the supply and distribution of water and irrigation networks
made of PVC-A* (PVC-HI), a material that guarantees the product very high resistance to shock and crack propagation, significant anti-corrosive properties and excellent durability.
FITT Bluforce features the jointing system Power Lock®, with integrated gasket, mechanically pre-inserted during the hot formation of the socket based joint, ensuring absolute stability, and therefore easy assembly, perfect functionality and optimal long-term hydraulic tightness.
In Europe, FITT Bluforce is, together with FITT Bluforce RJ, the first PVC-A (PVC-HI)* aqueduct system to be EPD®-certified, the environmental product declaration, which provides certified product life cycle data.
FITT Bluforce RJ is the Europe’s first thermoplastic pipe withsocket-based jointing system. The mechanical seal and the hydraulic tightness achieved with the Bulldog® seal allow easy, fast and safe installation without the need for thrust blocks, even on steep slopes and landslide prone terrains.The Bulldog® jointing system makes FITT Bluforce RJ ideal for trenchless applications such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
As with FITT Bluforce, FITT Bluforce RJ is made of PVC-A (PVC-HI)* and is certified EPD®.
(*) At a regulatory level, it is defined as a polymeric alloy of Poly Vinyl Chloride with high impact strength PVC-HI (such as PVC-M, PVC-A, PVC-CPE). PVC-HI (PVC-M, PVC-A, PVC-CPE) is a thermoplastic material that contains PVC resin with the addition of an impact modifier (PVC-High Impact). Depending on the type of impact modifier, the acronym HI can be replaced with various designations (PVC-A, Acrylic or PVC-A Alloy (polymer alloy); PVC-CPE, Chlorinated Polyethylene; PVC-M, Modified).
Sewerage
FITT Sewer ICE is the new pipeline for pressure sewer systems and gravity manifolds. FITT Sewer ICE is the first PVC-U pipe with both UNI EN 1401 and UNI EN ISO 1452 certification and therefore KIWA-UNI marked.
Thanks to the ice crystal feature, FITT Sewer ICE confirms its particular shock resistance capability at 0°, as required by the ISO 3127 standard, and also the fulfillment of the UNI EN 1401 additional requirement, which guarantees shock resistance down to -10°C (ISO 11173).
The Power Lock® socket based joint system, with integrated gasket, mechanically pre-inserted during the hot formation of the socket based joint, ensures perfect stability and functionality over time.
The UNI EN 1401-1:2019 compliant FITT Sewer EVO pipe for non-pressurised sewage and industrial drains guarantees superior performance thanks to its unique Sewer Lock® jointing system with integrated non-removable gasket.
Thanks to the use of OBS organic stabilizers, free of heavy metals, FITT Sewer EVO observes the compliance of the most stringent environmental protection regulatory standards of the main European markets and it is certified EPD®.
FITT sewer EVO ensures great hydraulic tightness, both with negative and positive pressure, proven by the tests carried out by IIP.
Transport of fluids under pressure
FITT Blutech is the PVC pipe for transporting pressurised fluids with the advanced Power Lock® joining system, characterized by the hot-inserted in advance of the gasket during the formation of the socket, ensuring perfect stability and easy installation.
FITT Blutech guarantees a hydraulic seal in both positive and negative pressure and, thanks to the use of OBS organic stabilisers, free of heavy metals, presents a formulation that, in terms of environmental protection, meets the strictest regulatory standards of the main European markets.
