Work to complete the sewer network and the renewal of the aqueduct network in the municipality of Camaiore (LU), where the FITT Bluforce system was used for a total length of 5,500 metres, has been completed: 4,500 metres of DN200 PN16 and 1,000 metres of DN160 PN16 piping.

The project included the construction of sewers for hamlets and roads that were not yet being serviced, the integration of the existing network for the benefit of approximately 550 inhabitants, coverage for more than 90% of the municipal sewer system and the implementation of 9 sewer access points.

The call to tender was carried out by GAIA SpA, Tuscany’s water management company.

After reviewing the highly-comparative technical relationship between materials in use and other materials considered technically superior, the GAIA technical committee considered FITT Bluforce the best solution in response to the criteria of Art. 95, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree 50/2016, which is the relationship between the quality and price of the materials.

The works, carried out by Bicicchi Felice srl, have allowed households to connect to the new sewage system and have improved sanitation, which has had a positive impact on coastal water bathing.
