Gestione Acqua S.p.A., the company responsible for the Integrated Water Service of some municipalities of Local Authority no. 6 of the province of Alessandria, is once again showing its trust in FITT Bluforce by selecting it for linking the Bettole water purifying system to the Cassano Spinola water treatment plant.

FITT Bluforce pipework was installed last spring to renovate and expand the Bettole water purifying system in the municipality of Tortona.  There was then the need to connect the Bettole water purifying system to the Cassano Spinola water treatment plant, to deliver the output liquid.

The conduit installation works needed to go through the Scrivia riverbed: the rocky soil and the system functionality and safety requirements called for the use of highly resistant pipework, easy to handle and install. This is why once again Gestione Acqua S.p.A. decided to take advantage of the FITT polymer alloy system: 798 linear metres of FITT Bluforce DN160 and  450 linear metres of FITT Bluforce RJ DN160 pipework were installed under the riverbed, to connect the Bettole water purifying system to the Cassano Spinola water treatment plant, ensuring speed of installation, safety of assembly and hydraulic tightness.

At the same time as the works for the connection between the water purifying system and the water treatment plant, works were also carried out to connect the Novi Ligure and the Cassano Spinola water distribution networks, to increase capacity in the two municipalities of the Alessandria province. Also in this case, Gestione Acqua resorted to the PVC-A system. Another 270 linear metres of Bluforce DN225, 690 linear metres of FITT Bluforce DN200 and 450 linear metres of Bluforce RJ DN200 were installed under the riverbed for the connection of the water distribution networks.

And extremely demanding task – considering the nature of the soil, and most of all the presence of water that could not be drained in the trenches -, carried out by Boggeri Fratelli srl of Arquata Scrivia.
