Work has ended for the laying of a DN160 PN16 pipe at the 301 km marker of SS16 Adriatica, in the Pinocchio district of Ancona.

Viva Servizi SpA, the water service manager in the Ancona and Macerata provinces, has chosen the safety of FITT Bluforce polymer alloy pipe system after considering the critical nature of the works, which includes one of the most important and busiest national roads in Italy

The installation of the pipe, which is being developed in a narrow trench with a depth of 1.20 m, is made difficult by the presence of many already existing subservices. It is for this reason that the brand new FITT Bluforce RJ was chosen during the design phase: it is the first pipe in Europe made in PVC with hot pre-assembled restraint joint.

The ductility of PVC-A in line and level deviations allows for the bypassing of previously laid subservices. Furthermore, thanks to FITT Bluforce system, which along with the hydraulic seal also adds the safety of the restraint joint, it is not necessary to build thrust blocks.
